Paul obtained his LL.B. from the University of Ottawa in 2007 and completed his Honours Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and History at the University of Western Ontario. Paul was called to the Ontario Bar in 2008, having completed his articles of clerkship in Ottawa, Ontario. 

Paul has practiced exclusively in the area of insurance defence litigation since his call to the bar in 2008.

Paul joined Laxton Glass LLP in 2011 after practicing at an insurance defence firm in Ottawa. Since his call to the Bar, Paul has practiced exclusively in the area of civil litigation with an emphasis on insurance defence litigation.  Paul continues his practice in all areas of insurance litigation including first and third party claims, disputes between insurers, occupier's liability claims, property damage disputes and accident benefits claims.  

Paul has successfully appeared as counsel at the Superior Court of Justice and has also appeared as counsel at the Licence Appeal Tribunal, the Financial Services Commission of Ontario and the Workplace Safety and Insurance Appeals Tribunal.  Paul has handled numerous files from commencement to resolution and provided coverage, damage and liability opinions for various insurers

Paul is a member of the Ontario Bar Association, the Canadian Defence Lawyers and the Toronto Lawyers Association. 

When he is away from the office, Paul enjoys spending time with his wife and children, playing guitar, traveling, supporting Huddersfield Town AFC and watching Formula One.
