Emily graduated from the University of Toronto with an Honours Bachelor of Arts in 2006 and received her Juris Doctor, Dean's List, in 2009 from Queen's University.

She articled at a downtown Toronto firm and joined Laxton Glass as an associate after her call to the bar in 2010. Emily successfully represents insurers on a variety of matters and has appeared at the Superior Court of Justice, the Court of Appeal, the Financial Services Commission of Ontario, the Licence Appeal Tribunal  and at the Landlord Tenant Board. Her practice includes a broad range of insurance matters, including bodily injury, accident benefits, property damage, D&O and E&O, construction, and subrogation. She particularly enjoys writing coverage opinions.

In her spare time Emily enjoys cooking, dancing, running, and planning increasingly elaborate challenges for the firm retreat.
