Amanda graduated from Queen's University with an Honours Bachelor of Arts in 2002 and went on to complete law school at Queen's University in 2005. Amanda worked at Laxton Glass LLP throughout university, articled with the firm and became an associate upon her call to the bar in 2006.  She was admitted into the partnership in 2014.

Amanda has developed a practice with a special interest in the defence of statutory accident benefits claims, tort claims, professional negligence claims, workplace & safety insurance appeals and priority and loss transfer disputes. 

Amanda has successfully appeared before the Ontario Court of Appeal, Divisional Court, Superior Court of Justice, Financial Services Commission, Licence Appeal Tribunal and the Workplace Safety & Appeals Tribunal.  She has successfully argued coverage applications, appeared on catastrophic impairment Arbitrations, summary judgment motions, Financial Services Commission Arbitrations and Appeals, Licence Appeal Tribunal hearings and Workplace Safety Appeals.  Amanda also specializes in private arbitrations on priority dispute and loss transfer claims. 

Amanda is a member of the Canadian and Ontario Bar Associations, Toronto Lawyers Association as well as Canadian Defence Lawyers.  She has been a contributing speaker to several seminars put on by the Ontario Bar Association, Canadian Defence Lawyers, Canadian Insurance Adjusters Association and Toronto Lawyers Association.

Outside of work, Amanda enjoys spending time with family and friends. She has developed a passion for travelling and embracing new cultures.  She enjoys cooking, going to the theatre and supporting Toronto sports teams.
