Matt has practiced exclusively in the area of insurance defence litigation since his call to the bar in 2007.
His practice includes all areas of insurance litigation, including first and third party claims and disputes between insurers such as loss transfer and priority disputes. He also has experience in WSIAT matters.
Matt has conducted numerous examinations under oath, examinations for discovery, and mediations (up to policy limits). He regularly appears before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice and the Financial Services Commission of Ontario.
Among other issues, Matt has authored a range of opinions on coverage, tort liability and damages, and statutory accident benefits (including CAT claims).
He is a member of The Advocates' Society, the Ontario Bar Association, Canadian Defence Lawyers, the Toronto Lawyer's Association and the Cambridge Club.
When not in the office, Matt can often be found with his nose in a (hopefully) good book or listening to music and playing guitar, but is most happy spending time with his wife, Kathryn, and his three children, Hayden, Edwin and Charlie.
