||Stacey graduated from the University of Toronto with her Honours Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Criminology in 2000. She graduated from the University of Windsor with her LL.B. in 2003.
Stacey happily joined Laxton Glass LLP in December 2004. Stacey enjoys all aspects of insurance defence litigation and tries to maintain a well-balanced practice by handling files that involve statutory accident benefits, bodily injury claims and private disputes between insurers. She has also assisted on several files with the Office of the Public Guardian and Trustee.
Throughout her career with Laxton Glass, Stacey has argued contested motions at the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, has appeared at an arbitration hearing (catastrophic impairment) at the Financial Services Commission of Ontario, has appeared at a preliminary issue hearing (Section 30 Exclusion) at the Financial Services Commission of Ontario and has appeared on several private arbitration disputes between insurers (priority and loss transfer).
Stacey is a very active member of Laxton Glass' social committee. She organizes many of the firm's social and charitable events and participates in many client educational seminars. However, Stacey's greatest accomplishments thus far are her marriage to her wonderful husband, Chris, their spunky and imaginative daughter, Caitlyn, and surviving a 6 month long home renovation project.
In her spare time, Stacey enjoys supporting the Toronto Blue Jays, the Toronto Argonauts, the Toronto Rock and playing dress-up with Caitlyn.
